John Wesley advised to “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” The practice of law empowers lawyers to do great good for many people in many ways; to do great good for my clients is my goal.

Melessa worked in banking for both a small brokerage and national banks as a department manager, mortgage broker, and loan officer, advising clients on financial products in the prime and secondary market, as well as credit life and disability insurance. She grew up on a century family farm, owned a publishing house, sold legal products for Thomson Reuters, worked in development for a major university, and was a corporate director for a company in the power industry, so she understands many aspects of business and law across several industries. Additionally, she was a professor for over ten years teaching legal classes at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

OUTSIDE OF WORK:

Mostly I love family time, but also state & county fairs, rodeos, children’s literature, flower & berry gardening, collecting art, and learning more about health & homesteading.
